WHERE DO YOU GET THE INSPIRATION FOR YOUR TRAVELS?
- Friends and fellow travellers
- Books and magazines
- Other blogs
- Tv programs and documentaries
- My constant desire of exploring new cultures and visit new places

- Make a list of must do and off beaten path places to visit and stay
- Ask around for tips to who already been there
- Make a calendar
- Research for budget accommodation

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO PLAN YOUR TRIPS?
It depends on the length of the journey but I can assure you it takes a while. Something like, from a week to months. I like doing a lot of research through books, travel guides and online blogs, magazines and local websites. I like to gather as many information as I can and then create my to do/see list in order of curiosity.
WHAT TYPE OF TRAVELLER ARE YOU?
Eh eh this is a tricky question. Well, I think I consider myself a backpacker and a solo traveller girl but as I’m getting old (I’m 30 this year! Whooho) I start to find difficult to classify my self as pure backpacker for different reasons you will find out on my posts.
WHAT SORT OF EXPERIENCE DO YOU LOOK FOR ON YOUR TRAVELS?
For sure I look for a unique experience! I don’t like comparing travels but sharing experiences. We are all different from each other and will experience the same place in different ways depending on our personality.
I personally look for a cultural, food and local experience, always adding a spice to the journey with a new (sport) adventure.
WHY DO YOU TRAVEL SOLO? AREN’T YOU SCARED?
My family sent me to holiday campus (without any friends) since I was a kid. I had to make friends on the way and be as much independent as possible.
The when I graduated I wanted to travel around Europe until I run out of savings but none of my friends were willing to do so, so I decided to go solo. I did it and it was the best experience of my life!
Obviously at the beginning I was a bit scared, actually let’s say worried (I’ve never been scared of something, except snakes! In the end I’m a farm girl J). But once I did it, I was alive and nothing bad happened to me, I was so happy and confident of myself that I couldn’t stop.
Travelling solo you meet so many people on the way that is incredibly fun and rewarding, the approach you have with others (local or fellow travellers) is completely different from when you are travelling with someone else.
The only thing is that you have to be hundred times more vigilant than if you were with a friend and expect the unexpected.
If is your first time travelling solo or you have in mind to do it but not sure yet, please check this post, it might be interesting!
HOW DO YOU FIND THE MONEY TO TRAVEL SO MUCH?
Eh eh I got this question all the time, even from my friends. The answer is that I work really hard and save every possible penny for my travels. I cook and eat at home, I go out only for drinks and not that often, I don’t do crazy shopping, I always postpone new purchases unless they are strictly necessary so I end up not buying what maybe was an impulsive purchase.
Then when I travel, I prefer to stay in budget accommodations and use public transports and if I have some spare during travelling, I invest them in extra activities!
WHAT’S YOUR BACKGROUND?
I have a diploma in accounting and I’m graduated in Graphic Design and Photography for fashion. So I’m a creative, tech savvy with sound knowledge of business and management. My travel expertise is all self taught and result of lessons learnt on the way or through my backpackers friends.
DO YOU DO TRAVEL CONSULTANCY?
Yes and thanks for asking! If you are a newbie, needs new travel tips or you like my travels and you need help planning your next adventure, please do not hesitate to drop me an email. I’ll be also happy to set up a Skype call for your convenience.
WHAT KIND OF CAMERA DO YOU USE?
Now I’m using a mirrorless Samsung NX300 with a 15-55mm lens, which is ideal for travel photography! It’s light and versatile, with amazing resolution and a worthy substitute of my Nikon SLR.
I WANT TO HELP SUPPORT THE UNIVERSAL EDUCATION SCHOOL IN VARANASI, INDIA. WHAT CAN I DO?
